Ziyarat Guide
Ziyarat — visiting the historic sites of Makkah and Madinah — isn't a required part of Umrah, but it connects pilgrims to the earliest history of Islam. Noorento arranges fixed-price Ziyarat transfers to every site below.
Makkah
Sites in and around Makkah
Jabal al-Noor & Cave of Hira
A mountain northeast of Masjid al-Haram. Inside its Cave of Hira, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ received the first revelation of the Quran from the Angel Jibreel in 610 CE — the beginning of his prophethood. Reaching the cave involves a steep climb of roughly an hour.
Jabal Thawr & Cave of Thawr
South of Makkah, this mountain's cave sheltered the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr (RA) for three nights during the Hijrah to Madinah in 622 CE, while they were pursued by the Quraysh. Tradition holds that a spider's web and a dove's nest at the cave entrance concealed them from their pursuers.
Jannat al-Mu'alla
The historic cemetery of Makkah, resting place of the Prophet's ﷺ first wife Khadijah (RA) and many of his family members and early companions. It remains an active cemetery today.
Masjid al-Jinn
Located near Jannat al-Mu'alla, this mosque marks the site associated with the Quranic account (Surah Al-Jinn) of a group of jinn who listened to the Prophet ﷺ reciting the Quran and accepted Islam.
Madinah
Sites in and around Madinah
Masjid Quba
The first mosque built in the history of Islam, founded by the Prophet ﷺ immediately upon his arrival near Madinah after the Hijrah. According to hadith, praying two rak'ahs here carries the reward of performing an Umrah.
Masjid Qiblatain
The 'Mosque of the Two Qiblas' — the Prophet ﷺ was leading prayer here when the revelation came commanding Muslims to change the direction of prayer from Jerusalem to the Kaaba in Makkah, and he turned mid-prayer to face the new Qibla.
Mount Uhud & the Martyrs' Graveyard
Site of the Battle of Uhud in 625 CE. Seventy companions, including the Prophet's ﷺ beloved uncle Hamzah (RA), were martyred and are buried at the foot of the mountain — a site of deep historical significance.
Jannat al-Baqi
The principal cemetery of Madinah, adjacent to Masjid an-Nabawi. It is the resting place of many of the Prophet's ﷺ family members, wives, and companions, and remains an active burial ground today.
The Seven Mosques (Masajid Sab'ah)
A cluster of small mosques marking the site of the Battle of the Trench (Khandaq) in 627 CE, where the Muslims dug a defensive trench around Madinah on the advice of Salman al-Farisi (RA) to repel a large confederate army.
